For those of us who really struggle to control our food consumption and portion sizes, putting some boundaries around quantity can really be helpful. In this video, I talk about weighing and measuring food. The goal behind weighing and measuring food is to quieten our mind down by removing all the decision-making around how much we should eat. Until the mind gets quiet around food, we don’t realise how much time is spent thinking about it, planning it, working off what we have eaten, and regretting what we ate last night.
Weighing and measuring is not necessary for everyone, but it is a very helpful tool for the majority of people I work with.
