Support Groups

I have listed several community support groups for people who struggle to control their food intake. The only requirement to attend these groups is a desire to stop overeating. Don’t be put off by the names of the groups, for example Overeaters Anonymous will welcome you regardless of whether you are under weight, a normal weight, or overweight.

If there isn’t a physical meeting close to you there are many online meetings now.

Meetings vary wildly, so try a few before giving up hope. Find a meeting where there are members with long term freedom from food obsessions and who seem comfortable in themselves. Listen to these members and ask them what they did to get to where they are.
